The History
In 1684, the 28-acre historical property now known as Crooked Billet was deeded to William Penn. Later, it became an inn in which George Washington and his army stayed before the Battle of the Brandywine in 1777.
After being transformed into a farm in 1811, the estate was passed on to the Dupont family in 1854, and finally purchased by Crooked Billet LLC in October 2016.
And Now
Since acquiring the property in 2016, Crooked Billet, LLC, has collaborated with local community and county agencies to create an enthusiastically supported development of the property: the Crooked Billet Community.
With 19 homesites for those 55+, 7 custom homesites in Westover Hills (choose your own architect), and the newly subdivided Penn's Grant at Crooked Billet - you have an incredible opportunity to live in an intimate community within the sought-after area of Greenville, Delaware.
